Good morning, lovely people! Welcome to a new day, week, and month! That being said... today is October 1, which means it is officially Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 1/4 women will experience violence from an intimate partner in their lifetime. 1/7 men will experience severe intimate partner violence. 10,000,000 children are exposed to domestic violence every year. This issue is significant and it doesn’t discriminate, friends. Keep an eye for more facts as well as help resources that will be posted. Purple is the representative color for Domestic Violence Awareness. The #purpleheartchallenge will be going all month long! Wear purple, use purple items, write on your car, or draw a heart on your hand like me! (p.s. I’ll have a marker pen on me at school and wherever so come see/stop me for a hand hearts!) Whatever is the most convenient way for you to rock a little purple and spread a lot of love! Be sure to caption posts/pics with your “Love is _________” statement & #DVAM #purpleheartchallenge.
