MARCH 30- APRIL 3, 2020
I know it gets hard to keep track of the days but it IS Monday... we are in a week, soon to be new month.
Please continue to do what is requested and needed of us all right now as we face a difficult battle, some more directly than others.
Keep your heads and hearts up. Keep in touch with someone each day or as frequently as you need. Find something to occupy your hands (seriously it not only helps you feel “busy” it naturally relieves stress/anxiety). Find your own way to THRIVE not just survive because dark hours happen in life and we are in one, but we’re all in it together.
It is a new week, new day. We need you to start it, be in it, anyway you can.
*still here for anyone that needs a prayer request, sounding board, whatever! This is as much for me as it is you!
Hello! Good morning, friends!
I’m sure we’re all getting enough tips, tricks, and preaching for how to be, what to do or not do... so I’d like to refocus our minds on something else this morning.
I’d like to attempt to draw your attention away from the goings on and toward someone or something/anything that is right in front of you. Set your gaze on it, focus on it, take a deep breaths.... maybe close your eyes and incision you’re still looking at whatever you’ve chosen. Deep breaths, and on the exhale begin to say a word... one word of your choosing (something sentimental, good, with positive or peaceful association).
Whether it be for a minute, five or fifteen...This moment if no other moments, I’d like to be for peace. Only peace.
Hey! Hi! Hello!
Good morning! I hope this finds you well.
(yes it is Wednesday and yes i did have to look it up)
Going to keep it short & sweet this morning and leave you with this quote/encouragement.
“Use your voice for kindness, your ears for compassion, your hands for charity, your mind for truth, and your heart for love”....
We all need it and we are all capable of giving it. Let’s acknowledge that and remember it in our homes, at the store, etc.
Good morning, all!
Hope you’re doing alright this week!
There are times where I think being positive is easily misconstrued as instruction to not experience negative feelings.... and that’s not what the goal is. When unfortunate things happen we may have bad feelings and they are valid and meant to be felt out.
But we’re being encouraged (myself included) to not let them consume us, rule over our thoughts and actions....keep us paralyzed. Positive messages, kind words, encouragements are here to grant us a moment (or more) of peace, of relief from the bad feelings or at least remind us that while we’re in the thick of adversity, we are fighting to get back to joy.... that there’s joy worth fighting to get back to.
And you can have joy in the midst of tribulation. Doesn’t mean you are any less affected by circumstances... just means you made a choice regarding your perspective and disposition.
Go get your joy.
Good morning! Happy Friday!
Decided to “treat” myself this morning by seeing just how similar I am to Bridget Jones now than I was when I watched it at 19.... Uncanny, the resemblance smh
Today’s good... work to be done, feelings to felt, and such.... but it’s TGIF right? Gratitude is an incredible heartwarming and uplifting tool, and when it occupies your heart or mind, something about saying it aloud helps it take hold of your day.
And having been home for a couple weeks going on several more, I want to thank my family and the dear friends helping to keep my sanity intact by letting me call and text them endlessly for nothing & also everything. I hate the idea of being a bother but I have been reduced to just that and they let me ramble and be silly and emotional and honest... and that is absolutely priceless.
Share something, anything your thankful for!
