7/14/2019 0 Comments June 10-14, 2019Good morning!!!!
Your new week has arrived and I have no doubt that today is in store for a treat having you here to be a part of it! Going to interject a little update in today’s post! ————————————————-- Many many weeks, thousands of questions, hundreds of videos, and several chapters later, I have completed my first board exam!!!! [& in what seems like a blink 2 years of medical school.] Praise God!!!! Would have posted sooner but I needed some sleep and a church service to get replenished [okurrr]. These last several months have been difficult but so full of love and support and CO👏🏾VERED👏🏾 in His grace and mercy, y’all. Thank you friends and family for all of the encouragement, prayers, vibes, kind words, and above all patience! I know a lot of loved ones have been having their own special moments, life events while I’ve been under the radar and I am backed up/over due for all the congratulations & check ins that are in order! But TRUST, no one has been forgotten! As big a moment as Saturday was, there’s exciting and definitely more challenging time ahead, so keep the prayers going up! And to all of you beautiful people, keep the faith. Keep fighting for your own dreams! Keep striving for progress & growth. Keep choosing peace, love, and understanding! & we’ll be alright! #mondaysmatter #challenge Good morning! A gorgeous morning, really. I hope you’re ready to enjoy it, ready to make the most of it, ready to contribute to it. We want to be ready for so many things, everything, the seen and unforeseen.... but our control over the exact course of the day is incredibly limited. Our control over how we respond to it, participate in it, interact with those sharing it with us is quite substantial. If you can be ready for anything, you can be ready to be kind, be of service, be joyful, honest, to forgive, to be a listener, a friend, a light, a source of truth, peace bringer, teacher, learner, to act with good intention, to pause, to contemplate, to show compassion, to try to understand, to take a next step... to just say ‘good morning’. There’s plenty to be ready for without being ready outside of the day’s details that have yet to unfold. Let’s try to prepare ourselves for some of these. #challenge ood morning! Pause, today. Take a deep breath, today. Think about what you need, today. Whatever it is you need to keep pushing, to keep your heart light, your mind clear, your light shining, your goodness readily available to those around you, go after it, reach for it. Being human works two ways. It’s just as important to allow yourself to be seen, heard, cared for, and accessed by love and kindness as it is to extend it. We all run out of fuel, have hard days, or whatever the case may be. This is also why it is never up to one person to be be or do everything at all times. Let’s be here for each other. Let’s see each other. #challenge Hey, hi, hello! Good morning, friends! The week’s end is almost here, and I know many of us are anxious for it... but what about today? What can today expect from you? How much of you can today have or count on? Today can be more than waiting for the weekend, more than a pit stop. Be in it, give to it, get what you can out of it. #challenge Happy Friday, friends! Good morning! Today, there are so many things you could do, want to do, probably will do.... but what’s first? What is the most worthwhile first thing you could do to kick today off? Considering, how easy it is to give our attention, our focus, our energy, our entire mood over to the little (or big) negativities we so easily spot... maybe we start with thanks, recognition of the good, the “wow”s in our lives. Maybe we start by filling ourselves up with so much gratitude for what is good and right for each of us that any negative interaction or occurrence just pales in comparison, that our day remains ours instead of stolen by what ought to be powerless emotion. Perhaps we start there and allow ourselves to have the best day possible? However, you begin... enjoy the day through & through, as well as your weekend and the people you have the fortune of encountering. Take care. #TGIF+ #challenge
